It's All For Fun...And Fun It Was!

The 2009 WNBA All Star game is in the books, and while it wasn't a particularly memorable game for many individual plays of flash and dash, it will be remembered as a game that was fun. Fun for the fans, fun for the players, and fun for the coaches.

In the highest scoring all star game in the league's history, the West snapped the "Katie Smith Unbeaten" streak and defeated the East 130-118. Swin Cash returned to Connecticut, proved her health has come back and gave watching new US National team coach Geno Auriemma something to think about for the 2012 Olympics. Cash was her old self; slashing through "defenders" (and I use the term loosely here) aggressively for 22 points (another record, most points in a game). She added 6 rebounds and 4 assists, a large number of pro-UConn applause, and the laughs and joy of her West teammates, who seemed to enjoy and encourage her success . . . .  There's More -->
